Thanks for your idea. We have no current plans to implement such a feature as this would severely reduce the chord window size for smaller screens.
However, have you checked out the chord diagrams button (4th in from the left on the chords page)? This will bring up all the diagrams for the chords of the song that you are on and can also be printed out free of charge so you can refer to these while you are playing.Mike Scott commented
How about a feature that simply displays the chord diagram briefly, like hover, when the mouse hovers over the chord's letter. Other guitar apps do this.

Your web app does a pretty good job but running it on a native OS like Apple, Android and Windows always seems a cut above. Browsers trade features for portability. I'd much rather run an App on an OS over a browser any day. There are millions of Windows PCs with nice big monitors.
