Some youtube footage starts with the talking of an artist. Since chordify starts analyzing from the start, it produces some inevitabele nonsense. My suggestion could avoid that, so the first things people see is a adequate chord. Keep on the good work! Jackfish19 votes
This is a nice idea; we’ll see whether it can be done, and how.
Enable chord transposition and capo suggestions on ipad and iphone - it only works on PC at the moment
Im a premium customer and a beginner guitarist and find the capo suggestions and transpositions really helpful, but there is no tab or ability to do this on my ipad. Is there a way to enable this functionality on apple devices?3 votes
The piano sheets are currently not very useful because no-one plays the chords this way.
For example if you are in C, you play G (dominant) below C. But if you are in G, you will probably play C (subdominant) below G.
Given the song does not change the tonic in-between, it is not hard to find the tonic chord: Test every chord which appears and count how often its IV, V and vi appears.
This way it would also be possible to give the _real_ chords instead of enharmonic equivalents.6 votes
Dear Anonymous, this is a nice idea, we’ll keep it in mind.
I don’t understand what you mean with “providing the karaoke”, can you please explain?
Hey! Chordify is a great resource! Thank you! Would you consider adding support for vimeo links? http://vimeo.com/3042377634 votes
Dear Erin, I think this is a nice idea. If enough people vote for vimeo links suport, we’ll definitely consider implementing it.
For an example see the following:
This helps people who are learning to improvise.

Dear Richi, We think this is nice suggestion, indeed. However we wonder how many people would also be interested in this feature. If it get’s a lot of votes on uservoice, we’ll seriously consider implementing it. Thanks
This is a great suggestion, but we’ll focus on a general app for the chordify service first.
I get that it's a beta, but I played around with it and I'm not quite sure if the chords are coming from instruments or singing, especially when there's silence in the song and chords are shown to be playing. I figured one song it was picking up the bass, but later in the song it wasn't the bass chords anymore. It would be amazing if this program worked right, but now I'm just kind of confused.3 votes
Dear Laura (and 1 other supporter),
Thank you for your feedback. The chord recognition in Chordify is fully automatic and our algorithm does not “listen” to one instrument in particular. Hence, the chords are based on all instruments sounding at the same time. I’ll see whether I can write something about this on the about-chordify-page any time soon.
I am using Chordify to help transcribe and notate music. Seeing what goes in a certain measure is helpful. But what would be SUPER helpful, is if you could divide each of the bars in the measure into 4 bars themselves then show each bar highlighted as the song plays. This will help notate the 16 8 notes etc. So basically each measure would have 16 bars of its own and each of those bars would light up as the song plays.1 vote
Currently, I doubt whether the resolution of the beattracker is accurate enough to display the subdivisions you propose. However, perhaps in the future this might be possible.
Add a line sequence number for chord lines. I copied all chords using screenprint. But it is difficult to aim chords on right sequence without any numbers. Line numbers would be very useful when you have the print option and a user communicates with a friend like "Look at chords in line nn"..13 votes
Thank you for this suggestion. I agree that this would be useful. I’d vote for barnumbers a the beginning of each line. Please, stay tuned.
Thank you for your suggestion. I think it is a great suggestion, but difficult to implement quickly. However, we might consider implementing it anyway in the future. Stay tuned.
We’re on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Or do you mean something else?
this way we have a chance to get on the guitar, so we can hit that first chord.6 votes
Dear Stephen, thank you for your feedback. I think this is a useful idea. We’ll consider implementing it. By the way, are you aware that you can use the spacebar for starting or stopping playback? This makes controlling the site easier when holding a guitar.
This way it is easy to avoid playing the most inconsistent ones57 votes
The loops aren't smooth. Besides that, use a (very short) fade in at the beginning of the loop and a fade out at the end to prevent clicks1 vote
Ability to save a favorite edited song and then next time the song is played out of My Music Profile it would be the edited version.0 votes
Export chords-table to Excel sheet (.xlsx file) to get more "EDIT" possibilities like grouping chord to lines and blocks,
cooperate with singers: organize lines to fit the songs lines, adding comments, Add playing instructions, Titles etc.
ALL is needed in order to produce an enhanced "chart" for a song and can be achieved easily using "Export to Excel" feature.1 vote
Am I missing something? How is this site supposed to work? Press play: nothing. Tried firefox and chrome.1 vote
I wanted to be a premium customer but will not do it until the chords habe options such as: add2, (add9), (b9), 11, 13, 7(b9), sus9 and 5 altered.
Having that in the system I know I will not mind to be correcting it or adding things.3 votes
