Change designations of A#,D#, and G# to Bb, Eb, and Ab etc.
As a piano player I'm used to seeing chords on lead sheets using the Bb, Ab, Gb, Eb, and Db designations, and on many songs I have downloaded with Chordify that is how they are named. But some songs use the # designations for the same chords (A#, G#, etc,} and this is confusing when reading the chart at playing speed. I tried to edit but the edit list on any given song only shows one set (either # or b) but not both, so I can't change them.
By the way this is far and away the best program I've ever seen for deciphering chord progressions!! Could never do it by ear alone! Thanks for a genius of a job.
Why not include one standard set of chord names in all edit lists, to include both designations (A# and Bb for instance). That would enable a user to rename chords as he is most accustomed to seeing on jazz lead sheets. This avoids having to instantly translate chord names while learning the progression and should be easy to recode in the software, Perhaps the result would not be academically correct but I assume we are after practicality here.
