This is a great suggestion, but we’ll focus on a general app for the chordify service first.
I get that it's a beta, but I played around with it and I'm not quite sure if the chords are coming from instruments or singing, especially when there's silence in the song and chords are shown to be playing. I figured one song it was picking up the bass, but later in the song it wasn't the bass chords anymore. It would be amazing if this program worked right, but now I'm just kind of confused.3 votes
Dear Laura (and 1 other supporter),
Thank you for your feedback. The chord recognition in Chordify is fully automatic and our algorithm does not “listen” to one instrument in particular. Hence, the chords are based on all instruments sounding at the same time. I’ll see whether I can write something about this on the about-chordify-page any time soon.
I am using Chordify to help transcribe and notate music. Seeing what goes in a certain measure is helpful. But what would be SUPER helpful, is if you could divide each of the bars in the measure into 4 bars themselves then show each bar highlighted as the song plays. This will help notate the 16 8 notes etc. So basically each measure would have 16 bars of its own and each of those bars would light up as the song plays.1 vote
Currently, I doubt whether the resolution of the beattracker is accurate enough to display the subdivisions you propose. However, perhaps in the future this might be possible.
Add a line sequence number for chord lines. I copied all chords using screenprint. But it is difficult to aim chords on right sequence without any numbers. Line numbers would be very useful when you have the print option and a user communicates with a friend like "Look at chords in line nn"..13 votes
Thank you for this suggestion. I agree that this would be useful. I’d vote for barnumbers a the beginning of each line. Please, stay tuned.
Thank you for your suggestion. I think it is a great suggestion, but difficult to implement quickly. However, we might consider implementing it anyway in the future. Stay tuned.
We’re on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Or do you mean something else?
this way we have a chance to get on the guitar, so we can hit that first chord.6 votes
Dear Stephen, thank you for your feedback. I think this is a useful idea. We’ll consider implementing it. By the way, are you aware that you can use the spacebar for starting or stopping playback? This makes controlling the site easier when holding a guitar.
The loops aren't smooth. Besides that, use a (very short) fade in at the beginning of the loop and a fade out at the end to prevent clicks1 vote
Has anyone use this to for bass guitar songs?0 votes
Ability to save a favorite edited song and then next time the song is played out of My Music Profile it would be the edited version.0 votes
