I would like to be able to use chordify without its dependency on the Internet.
I would like to have Chordify as a standalone program that runs internet free... for example, I have music on my desktop, it should allow me the option of having chordify search a folder on my computer and run it without the Internet. Saves on data
40 votesHello there, thanks for your suggestion. We will monitor this thread to see if it gathers any traction. In the meantime, please know that this is already a feature on our iOS app!

Allow to see ratings for edits
I now how I can rate the chord quality of a song, but how do I see the ratings of all edits of a specific song in order to find out which one could be the best?
13 votesHello there,
This is a very good idea, we’ll make sure to monitor this idea and once it gets enough traction we’ll find a way to implement this! -
Make it possible to play the music in Sonos
Like Spotify, include Sonos as an alternative player

new, useful and comfortable interface
Although this new version are new and might more comfortable (personal idea), I think that you should have a bigger displaying area. It is quite small to read the lyric showing in the video.
11 votesHi Corock69,
Thanks for your feedback! Could you send us a screenshot of your browser when you find the lyrics too small? Perhaps there is still room to enlarge the video a bit with your resolution.

Chordify Premium is too expensive; the prices should be lower/cheaper
I am willing to pay but prices for plan are horrible. Besides there are many more apps that allow you to do the same thing and there are many others that will be available to users for free.
252 votesHi all,
You can now invite friends and earn discounts for Chordify Premium using our referral program:

Five string banjo diagrams
It would AWESOME to have the option to turn the diagrams into 5 string banjo diagrams.
Cheers! Great app by the way!
73 votesDear Martin,
If this feature request gets a lot of votes, we might consider implementing more diagrams.
Kind regards,
As per our comment, please update your idea with the specific tuning.

Detect and show bass note
It would be very useful to know the bass note that is played with a chord. E.g. C chord played with E as bass note, commonly notated as C/E.
508 votesWe agree, the bass note (or chord inversion as it is also sometimes called) is very useful information. After some investigation, it appears this would be a very large undertaking. We have however been working on this and we hope to implement this soon. Stay tuned!

Continuations chord play
Currently a chord is played only when a chord changes. This sounds very odd. The chord should also be played for empty squares (where no chord change occurs.)
27 votesThank you for your feedback. If enough users think this should be the default behaviour, we will implement it.

Manually indicate when the youtube song starts
Some youtube footage starts with the talking of an artist. Since chordify starts analyzing from the start, it produces some inevitabele nonsense. My suggestion could avoid that, so the first things people see is a adequate chord. Keep on the good work! Jackfish
21 votesThis is a nice idea; we’ll see whether it can be done, and how.

Integrate with Spotify
I have all of my music in Spotify and don't want to upload or find youtube links.
Spotify has an api that lets you search and play their songs if you could make an app in the spotify store that uses your chordify technology that would be great!
104 votesIn response to Mic’s question, we would love to integrate with more streaming services, but this requires a lot of negotiation with the streaming platforms. This is time consuming or might even result in a no-go. That’s why the issue is still marked as under review.

support Vimeo links
Hey! Chordify is a great resource! Thank you! Would you consider adding support for vimeo links? http://vimeo.com/30423776
34 votesDear Erin, I think this is a nice idea. If enough people vote for vimeo links suport, we’ll definitely consider implementing it.

Rhythm to play along to when transposing or change pitch of play back
When I use the transpose option (I have upgraded to Premium) it would be nice to be able to mute the now out of key music and not hear the generated chords either since they often don't play at the right time, and just have a basic rhythm beat to follow. I'm also a singer besides a guitarist and would like to practice the songs in the right key for my voice and not hear the out of key music but just my guitar and the beat to keep me in tempo with the displayed chords as I play along…
7 votesChanging the playback pitch is unfortunately impossible in general (we stream from YouTube, for example, so we can only do what their API allows us too). A clicker rhythm, however, would be possible. If enough users ask for this, we will implement it.

Ability to pick out individual notes.
There's alot of instances in most songs where they play riffs that aren't chords. If the program had the ability to tell you what individual notes are played I think that would be extremely useful.
Not asking for it to be tabbed out for me, just what notes are used
Maybe something like
[Bm Chord] then little notes like BCAD#AGb come after it showing the notes used
144 votesDear Phalan, this is a nice suggestion. We’ll take it into consideration. We might also combine it with other score printing functionalities. Please, stay tuned.

display the confidence in each chord estimation (eg with a color scale), whenever possible
This way it is easy to avoid playing the most inconsistent ones

Night mode???
Black background instead of bright white background. The brightness of the screen is torture for tired eyes.
4 votesThat’s a very interesting idea, thank you! We’ll definitely give this a good thinking over–in the meantime, you can perhaps look into a 3rd party app for your computer that helps make looking at a screen easier, such as ‘f.lux’.

Allow chords to be placed on 1/8 note locations ("and" locations).
Allow chords to be placed on 1/8 note locations ("and" locations).
2 votesThanks for your suggestion, for now we’ll be sticking to the quarter-note grid. But perhaps in the future we’ll look into extending (or ‘zooming in’) the grid.

Pay for "Pro" chords
It's really hard to get all chords right for some songs, so, one way of making musicians get some money, and get more users with better chords, is to a Music Request system, where someone can pay like 5 premium points, and have one "pro reviewer" reviewing the music chords.
That would be cool :)
7 votesThank you for your idea! This is an interesting concept, and we will keep our eyes peeled on this one to see if it picks up traction at all and revisit this at a later time.

when playing a song we don't need the window cluttered with other songs photos etc. to much going on bar moving. other cd covers moving
just like a music score just give me the chords No pics no other songs unless I want to find some Kiss (Keep it simple stupid)
4 votesHello, thanks for your feedback. We understand that the page could become busy on smaller screens and will take this into consideration.

Make sure tempo changes in a song are correctly tracked
When the tempo of a song changes (e.g. gets faster towards the end) chord placement in the grid tends to drift getting progressively miss-aligned if the tempo continues to change. See the following for an example of this effect... http://beta.chordify.net/chords/the-penny-black-remedy-come-back-when-you-have-more-ambition-mrseventhcat
In this song the time signature stays the same but the tempo of the song increases for each cycle of the chord progression. In this case I would suggest that the chord changes remain in the same vertical alignment in the grid but the beat indicator should progress through the grid faster as it keeps up with the increasing tempo.
…
11 votesThanks for the idea. The beat tracker does allow for slight changes of tempo, though not to the extent that is needed here. We do have plans to improve the quality of the beat tracker so do stay tuned!

Tonic finder / chord placement
The piano sheets are currently not very useful because no-one plays the chords this way.
For example if you are in C, you play G (dominant) below C. But if you are in G, you will probably play C (subdominant) below G.
Given the song does not change the tonic in-between, it is not hard to find the tonic chord: Test every chord which appears and count how often its IV, V and vi appears.
This way it would also be possible to give the real chords instead of enharmonic equivalents.
6 votesDear Anonymous, this is a nice idea, we’ll keep it in mind.
